ALDOT brings official state Christmas tree from Fitzpatrick, Ala.

Each year, employees from the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) cut down, haul, install and help decorate the official state Christmas tree that sits at the top of the Capitol steps facing Dexter Avenue in Montgomery.

New school zone speed limits coming to Baldwin Preparatory Academy on SR-59

Baldwin Preparatory Academy is a career-technical education (CTE) high school located in Loxley, Alabama and it is a part of the Baldwin County Public Schools System.

At the request of local school and public safety officials, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is implementing new school zone speed limits on SR-59 in Loxley near Baldwin Preparatory Academy.

ALDOT to host a public involvement meeting in Homewood

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a come-and-go style public involvement meeting to discuss a potential project on US-31 involving plans for access management, sidewalk improvements and resurfacing.

Second phase of repair to US-43 bridge over Cedar Creek planned

ALDOT will make additional repairs to the southbound US-43 bridge over Cedar Creek in Franklin County next week.

ALDOT next week will repair another section of the deck of the southbound US-43 bridge over Cedar Creek, south of Russellville in Franklin County.

I-65 north exit 168 off ramp (South Boulevard) closure begins soon
