The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will be performing resurfacing, guardrail and end anchor installation, and traffic striping on SR-38 (US-280) from just west of the SR-22 intersection to just east of the SR-63 intersection.
This project will require daily lane closures of SR-38 within the milepost range given during the resurfacing phase. It will have intermittent lane closures for the other items of work.
The project is planned to begin on August 11, and be completed in late Fall/early Winter 2025.
Motorists should adjust arrival/departure times. Please observe work zone speed limits, work zone signs, and use caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this project to improve Alabama’s roadways.
